My amazing class trip to Wilmington

Image
This year, 2025, on April 11th, I went on the field trip to Wilmington with my class! It was the best trip I'd ever had. We left from morning and returned at evening. This field trip was more than half a day, meaning I had to be away from my parents for a long time😞, but I survived at least without them😌. Me and my class went to two places that day. We went to Wilmington's battleship and the Kure Beach Pier. In this essay, I will tell everything about my trip from beginning to end. As I tell my fair share, you imagine as if you were in my place, how would feel in doing all the things that I did, starting on the charter bus? I had to wake up at 5 in the morning and pack all my stuff needed for the field trip. I arrived at my school at around 6: 10 am. The buses came in a few minutes. It was cold in the bus like a igloo. We had to wait a little bit before the bus started to go because one of the buses were late in coming. After we started the trip, we had silence time for 10 or...

Spring

Image
The first day of spring has just passed! The first day of spring happened on March 20 this year only. This season marks the bloom of flowers, warm temperature, more longer days, and also a sign of new growths and beginnings. Are you ready for spring break to come? Are you ready to get a break from school? I bet so! Do you like spring over the other seasons, especially fall (or autumn). Let's take a little stroll around your neighborhood and take a slide to see spring in action along with learning good facts. Get your windbreaker, food, water, and a soccer ball and spring along💮. Some ways you can recognize spring is increased bird activity. When you are at home chilling, eating your breakfast, you may look out of the window and see many migratory birds like American robins, bluebirds, cardinals, and much more. Some people don't like spring because it is the pollen season. Pollinators like bees go and pollinate from flower to flower. They collect nectar and pollen from the flo...

Image
There are so many astonishing wonders in this universe. THIS  time, I am going to talk about the wacky, watery wonders. If you remember, I published a post about Wild Wonders: Top 7 Natural Wonders . It's fine if you skipped that post to move onto this one. It's going to be a long adventure this time also! We are going to talk about 7 wacky, watery wonders . This time, instead of buckling up your seatbelts, get tucked into your swimsuits! Make sure you have enough oxygen in your oxygen tank😊. Why wait now? Let's go exploring! The Bahama Blue Holes in Belize The first wacky, watery wonder is The Bahamas Blue Holes . It's located in the Bahamas, (That was obvious to know because it's right in the name! It's okay if you didn't realize, though) These blue holes are one of the most unique habitats in the world. There are more than 1,000 blue holes in the Bahamas alone. The Bahamas Blue Holes are roughly in a range between 10,000 to 99,000 years old .  The Bah...

Wild Wonders: Top Seven Natural Wonders

Image
There are so many wonders in the world. Some of these wonders are WILD. One of these wild wonders are the stunning natural  wonders. We are going to learn about the Top   7 Natural Wonders . Buckle up your seatbelts because it's going to be a long tour. Are you ready? Then, let's go! Victoria Falls The first wild wonder we are going to learn is The Victoria Falls , a watery wonder, and maybe a wild wonder. It is on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia. It is located on Africa's Zambezi River. It is  around 200 million years old ! That's a very old age. This wonderful wonder was discovered by explorer Dr. David Livingstone in 1855. It rises roughly high as a 35- story skyscraper and stretches more than 15 American football fields. This huge size means that it has a lot of water. Many people say that Victoria Falls is the largest waterfall because of its width and height combined. Victoria Falls is an amazing wonder and waterfall. Now, that we have learned about Vic...

Is 2025 a mathematical wonder?

Image
2025 rock!! Have you ever thought if 2025 is a mathematical wonder? Well, it is! Nicomachus of Gerase, a Greek mathematician discovered this. How is this possible? Well, let's find out! People say that 2025 is a mathematical wonder, but is that true? Well, it is. A reason why is because it is a perfect square. A perfect square is a number multiplied by itself. 2025 is a square of 45, meaning that 45 is multiplied by itself. So, it would be 45 times 45 equals 2025. 2116 is the next perfect square because it is a square of 46. Another reason why is because it is the sum of cubes. The sum of cubes are numbers multiplied by itself 3 times added together. The sum of cubes for 2025 is 1^3 + 2^3 + 3^3+.....  til 9^3. Isn't that amazing! This is rare because it is a phenomenon that doesn't happen often, making 2025 a unique year.  2025 is truly remarked as a mathematical wonder. Now, do you believe me? I hope so! I hope you learned some facts about your year 2025. It is a miracle t...

Maha Kumbh Mela ( Festival of faith)

Image
Maha Kumbh Mela (Fair happening in Haridwar, India) Have you ever heard a festival named Maha Kumbh Mela , (Mela is a Hindi  word for Fair)  Maha Kumbh is a festival of faith. It takes place in  Prayagraj, Haridwar, Ujjain, and Nashik - is deeply tied into the planet alignment of the Sun, Moon, and Jupiter. The Maha Kumbh Festival is celebrated at these 4 places because in Hindu mythology when the gods and demons fought over a pot/kumbh of nectar, few drops fell at each of those places in the the holy rivers. And this is the reason behind it!  The Maha Kumbh Festival is celebrated after every 12 years. The Kumbh Festival is celebrated every 6 and 12 years. The next Maha Kumbh will happen after 144 years this time in 2169 ! It is not after 12 years this time because of the planet allignment. It has the largest peaceful gathering of people in the world. In Prayagraj, this festival takes place at Triveni Sangam. Triveni means three rivers. Those three rivers meeting ma...

Would you rather be funny, smart, or rich

Imagine that you had to choose being funny, smart, or rich, which one would you choose? But, there is a constraint. You can choose only 1 option maximum. If you choose funny, you have a sense of humor. If you choose smart, you have lots of knowledge and education in you. If you are rich, you are very wealthy. Which one would you choose. For me, I would choose being funny because I like having a sense of humor. I don't want to choose being rich because being wealthy is not everything in life. Well, according to most perspectives, love, time, friendship, passion and more are considered more important than money. I don't want to choose being smart because only having knowledge and education in you is not the only way you can have to succeed. Being emotional intelligence, hard work and more can also help you to succeed in life. Intelligence is one of the aspects of a person's capabilities. There is many other things like creativity, kindness, empathy and more which are equally...

AI

AI stands for Artificial Intelligence. AI is a technology that allows computers to think, learn, and solve problems like humans. If you are interested in AI, you can start with simple AI courses at a daily basis every day for about 30 minutes. AI is a very informational and helpful program to learn. If you want to start learning AI, read books and watch videos to get ideas and tips on how to begin. One of the aspects of AI is coding and programming. If you want to start coding and programming, I would recommend starting with Scratch, a coding app. Scratch is a good app for kids to learn more about coding. In the app, you have to make games by coding and programming. There were tutorials to watch to understand more about how to make games with coding. There were commands you can use to control the characters in your game. You can publish your games and get comments, likes, and views just like my blog. But when learning about AI, you might get curious and have many questions. For example...

My cycling experience

Cycling is a fun activity and a great exercise. Cycling can help protect you from serious diseases like depression, diabetes and more. Cycling is also good for your joints. When I was 5 or 6 years old, I used to go to the bicycling track around our apartment and practice bicycling.  At that time, I didn't know how to bicycle and used to keep on tripping around. My mom would sometimes have to hold the back of my seat and I would used to think I am riding my bike, but I wasn't. The main problem I had when bicycling was my balance and trust. I used to move too much in my seat while trying to ride and didn't trust myself. I soon felt discouraged to learn how to bicycle, but my family and my neighborhood encouraged me to keep trying, so I did. Eventually, one day I was practicing with my mom and I tried to ride my bike and I did! I thought that my mom was holding the back of my seat, but when I turned, I knew I rode my bike successfully. It took me about a month to learn how to...

My swimming experience

Swimming is a very fun and exercising activity to do. When I was 9 years old, I went to my community swimming pool with my mom to do some swimming. At that time, I didn't know how to swim, so when I got to the pool, I just moved my hands around only. When I first tried to swim, my legs sunk to the bottom of the ground. Slowly, I started to move my legs as well and soon learned different types of styles of swimming. I learned how to do freestyle swimming, butterfly swimming, breaststroke swimming and many other types. Swimming can be scary for some people because of the water. In my community pool, I had to stay in the 3 foot area, but I soon starting going into the 4 foot area and then the 5 foot. In the beginning, I was very scared due to the depth of the water in the 5 foot area. My brother always had to be with me in the 5 foot area because I would panic and he would come to my rescue. Soon, I felt confident enough and went to the 5 foot area by myself and never worried about go...

Jasmine flowers

Image
Nature is a reason why we all exist. Nature includes many things like flowers, plants, trees and more. I adore all types of flowers and plants a lot, but I like jasmine plants very much out of all. For me, I have thought that the jasmine flowers in the plant are beautiful and amazing. Jasmine blossoms are very special because they symbolize love, sensuality, and grace. Jasmine flowers live up to 15 to 20 years in the wild. They are thirsty plants, so make sure to water them regularly. Jasmine flowers are very famous and widely popular for its sweet scent. A reason I like jasmine flowers is because they help with many things like calming, skin health, cancer and other medical diseases. Jasmine flowers also are used in perfumes, cosmetics, flavor beverages, baked goods, and more. Jasmine tea is made with jasmine flowers too. Jasmine tea is a traditional drink in China, Vietnam, and other places. Jasmine flowers are generally safe for us and it can be a healthy addition to your diet. The ...

New Year

New year is a very special occasion in many cultures around the world. New Year is celebrated on Jan. 1 because that is the very first day of the year. We celebrate New Year's Eve on Dec. 31 because that is the last day of the year. The reason we celebrate New Year is because it is a time to mark the beginning of a fresh start.  On New Year, we make a New Year's resolution and promise ourselves to do it. A resolution is a goal you are going to achieve during the year. My resolution is to be a good swimmer, bicyclist and blogger because I enjoy doing these activities. You should plan resolutions before the arrival of New Year. When you decided a resolution, make sure you have a simple reason why you chose that. If you did something last year you didn't wanted to repeat this year, try making that your resolution for the year if you can't decide or wanting to avoid doing it this time. New Year is often seen as a time for optimism and new beginnings. A way you can celebra...

Water

Water is a very important element in life. Water is also important for animals, too. Did you know that the earth's surface is covered with about 71% of water. Water is a very precious source all around us and sustains our planet. We use water for the simplest tasks, but not everybody have access to clean water. People may have seen this blog post of mine and think how is water even an important topic to read. Water is just for us to drink and be hydrated and for simple tasks. You, reader could be thinking the same, but water has a whole different meaning. Water is meant for all of us. People are suffering without water like Africans. They live in such humidity. In fact, the equator crosses Africa! People must be suffocated there. Africans use 5 gallons of water per day! When you are reading this article, think of how lucky we have with clean water, and compare it with these people's lives with so dirty and less water. And please remember, don't think about the fine water w...

Ostriches

Image
The ostrich has a long neck, with long legs and two toes. The ostrich has an inner toe that has long, sharp nails to help it run on the ground. The ostrich is flightless, but it still has wings to steer itself. Ostriches live in hot, dry places like deserts and savannas. It also lives in open woodlands. Ostriches have many predators like cheetahs, lions, spotted hyenas, leopards, African Wild Dogs, coyotes and many more. Ostriches have two main defence mechanisms to protect themselves from predators and danger. When it is near predators, it either uses speed or camouflage as a defence mechanism. Ostriches use camouflage as a defence mechanism to protect themselves from predators. Ostriches use camouflaging to avoid being noticed by predators. Camouflaging makes the ostrich look like its head is in the sand, but it really puts its head on top of the sand. It makes it hard to notice because its light tan skin camouflages in the sand. The predator would react to its defence mechanism by n...

Christmas Cake

Image
During Christmas, people bake a cake called Christmas Cake/ Plum Cake for Christmas. Christmas Cake is famous around the world. This year, me and my family are planning to make Christmas Cake on Christmas Eve and eat the cake on both Christmas and Christmas Eve. Christmas Cake is usually brown. If you want your cake to be brown, you make a sugar solution. You melt the sugar, and it becomes caramelized sugar which makes the cake brown. Christmas Cake is made with dried fruits, and nuts. Christmas Cake doesn't need any icing, or else it will ruin the taste of the whole cake itself. Traditionally, nuts are soaked in rum, but we prefer orange juice instead. To make Christmas Cake, you first have to pour orange juice in a container. Then, you put dried fruits, and nuts in the juice. Our family is going to put almonds, cashews, walnuts, raisins, and cranberries as our ingredients. It is your choice on the what type of ingredients you put in your cake. Then, you give a few hours for your ...

Chinese Lantern Festival

Image
In the winter break, me and my family went to the Chinese Lantern festival in Cary, North Carolina. The festival was very entertaining and beautiful for its lanterns, light structures, games, shows, and more. It had an experience you could never forget it. It would also be a good place to go to enjoy and have fun.  In the Chinese Lantern festival, there were simple lanterns, but the farther you go, lanterns go away and lantern structure, shows, games, and more come. There was a Jurassic world with dinosaur light structures. There was a button which even made a dinosaur light structure roar and do other cool things. There was also an underwater world with marine animals, corals, seaweed and many more marine life structures. There was even a a volcano light structure erupting lava out and steam coming out from the peak of the volcano! Those light structures are perfect for taking pictures along with you and your family. The festival has shows that happen for  30 minutes each. Me...

Mount Kailash

Image
Mount Kailash is a breathtakingly , beautiful place located in Tibet. Mount Kailash is home to  the Hindu god, Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva is the god of destruction . Mount Kailash is a  black rock mountain, but it has more colors than black only. In the morning , it has a golden hue in the sun. In the North Face, when the sun rays  hit the white snow on the mountain, it turns gold. In the South Face, the color turns sapphire due to the color of the rock. Mount Kailash is known for its unusual supernatural powers.  One of its mysterious powers is a strong force  that doesn't let anyone climb till the top of the mounta in. It is so strong that no one can climb it till the halfway point! Some climbers tried to climb the mountain, but they came back saying that on the 3rd day, they realized that they have been going in circles around the mountain. The mountain's powers can also effect people. A fact that supports this power is, ''A group of Siberian mountaineers who tri...
