My swimming experience
Swimming is a very fun and exercising activity to do. When I was 9 years old, I went to my community swimming pool with my mom to do some swimming. At that time, I didn't know how to swim, so when I got to the pool, I just moved my hands around only. When I first tried to swim, my legs sunk to the bottom of the ground. Slowly, I started to move my legs as well and soon learned different types of styles of swimming. I learned how to do freestyle swimming, butterfly swimming, breaststroke swimming and many other types.
Swimming can be scary for some people because of the water. In my community pool, I had to stay in the 3 foot area, but I soon starting going into the 4 foot area and then the 5 foot. In the beginning, I was very scared due to the depth of the water in the 5 foot area. My brother always had to be with me in the 5 foot area because I would panic and he would come to my rescue. Soon, I felt confident enough and went to the 5 foot area by myself and never worried about going to the 5 foot area. Many friends of my mom used to come to the pool and watch me. They used to always praise me for my swimming. Next time, when I am going to go swimming, I will try to learn artistic swimming, another style of swimming.
Swimming helps us with lungs health, weight loss and other medical helps. There are many popular swimmers who have got many awards for swimming. For example, Micheal Phelps is a very popular swimmer. If you want to learn swimming, you can watch videos for tips. When I was a kid, I watched Rocket Swimming, a YouTube channel. When you are swimming, you should always trust the water and make it your friend. When I used to try to do backstroke swimming, I used to think that I would drown and used to refuse to try it. But with the help of my parents and brother, I managed to do it.
Swimming is a very fun experience to try out and an effective way, too. If you want to try swimming, I would recommend reading about my experience and watching videos to help improve. Mostly, trust the water and be its friend. I hope you enjoy swimming!
